In June 2023 I started this tough but wonderful route from Rome. My plan was to walk as far as Assisi. This I was able to fulfill, just over two weeks later I arrived at the Basilica of St. Francis. I was so excited that in Oct. the same year, from Assisi I continued my pilgrimage to Sansepolcro.
In june 2024, I finished the path completely as far as Florence.
The landscapes made me quiet inside and the few pilgrims and many animals on my way were a sign of connection, the feeling that everything is connected, “we are part of the whole.”
This post will be completed with photos of the full route.
